I cut the images out of a NME magazine because i like that genre of music and it is the same genre as mine.

working Progress!!!!

My front cover without the photos. It is bright and extravagant and attracts the audience. my band will be the main feature and shall be on my front page.

this is my contents pages which is clear and people can tell where the pages are it is bright and the layout is good and has an obvious house-

style.

this is my double page spread feature article where 'The Volume' gave an interview.

i created the background on photoshop and used grunge brushes to make it all scruffy and stained.

you now need to scan and upload your mood board and rough sketches for your magazine, props and costume list and choice of locations and comment on them. Also upload your photographs taken and comment on why you chose the ones you did for your pages – how did the shoot go? Etc… Remember to keep blogging on your progress!

You do still need more research and analysis of magazine pages - see my previous post!
Next you need to scan and upload your mood board and you rough layout of your magazine pages.

Questionnaire results!

I gave questionnaires out to ten students in college i gave them 8 questions and the results are below.

1. 9 out of 10 listen to music over an hour a day.

2. 5 out of 10 like independent bands

    4 out of 10 like both

    1 out of 10 like mainstream bands

3. 7 out of 10 think that new genres should be explored

4. 5 out of 10 think free items should be given away

5. 5 out of 10 said the volume is a good name

6. 7 out of 10 would spend £2-£3 on a music magazine

7. 5 out of 10 find out info on music from the radio

8. Indie rock and Bass-line are the favorite genre with three votes each.
